Responses to inappropriate behavior: (Levels increase due to frequency and/or severity)
Level 1 - Redo (Retraining) “Let’s try that again.” “Can you do that a more appropriate way?”
This will take the place of a “warning”
Level 2 - Losing points on FACTS on Responsible Behavior weekly grade
Level 3 - Reflection Time: Lunch detention with the teacher and completing of
Think/Reflection Sheet. Reflection Sheet signed by a parent. Failure to return leads to
parent contact.
Level 4 - Notify Mrs. Gilbert, hold parent conference, possible after school detention and/or
withholding of privilege (dance, trip, etc), possible suspension…
Uniform violations:
YES, the uniform rules in the handbook will be enforced. (Skirt lengths, Mass ties, etc.)
3 Strikes - Lose Spirit Wear/Free Dress day
Zoom Attendance
Students are expected to attend all Zoom sessions on time for the whole time of the Zoom meeting. For each Zoom meeting missed, 5 points will be deducted from the Responsible Behavior grade for the week. For being tardy and/or leaving early, up to 5 points will be deducted depending on the total amount of time missed. For excused absences or connectivity problems, a parent must email the teacher.
Homework Policy
Students have the number of days that they were absent to turn in make-up work without penalty.
The highest grade possible on regularly assigned late work will be 75% and scaled down from that point for less than perfect work.
On large projects, lose 10% per day late.
Tardy Policy
Excessive tardies will be followed up with a parent contact
